The additional 15.25 million shares are currently valued at Sh212.8 million, going by Co-op’s share price of Sh13.95 at the opening of trading at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday morning last week.
The additional shares have taken the Baloobhais stake to 1.55 percent at the end of September from 1.29 percent in March this year even as Mr Muriuki kept his stake unchanged in the same period. Baloobhai’s stake is currently valued at Sh1.27 billion for the90.94 million shares he holds, closely following that of Mr Muriuki whose stake is valued at Sh1.64 billion.
